The SIPP provider Lifetime Sipp has recently entered administration following claims against the company by unhappy investors. A number of complaints have also been raised with the Financial Ombudsman Service. It is understood that Lifetime Sipp had some exposure to Harlequin Investments, which have since be valued at nil by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) amongst many other unregulated schemes. It is thought that there could be millions of pounds worth of claims that would eligible to proceed through the FSCS.
Other SIPP providers that have failed, with claims being dealt with by the FSCS include: Brooklands Trustees, Stadia Trustees, Montpelier Pension Administration Services.
